I acknowledge and agree that publication of said photos or videos by the Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau confers no rights of ownership or royalties whatsoever.”
If the Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau would like to use your images or videos in our print materials, we will contact you to ask permission. Compensation for the usage of your photos or videos will be considered for print media.
Content Gathering
The Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau uses the program Later to gather content produced by social media users. We regularly search for content on social media by searching for hashtags and location tags that have to do with our destination.
When we find content we would like to use in our social media and online content, we comment the following caption: “Wow! What a good photo! We would love to use this photo to help our efforts to promote travel to Kosciusko County. Do you mind if we reshare this picture on our page? #visitkcounty For our terms of usage for photos and/or videos, you can use the link in our bio.”
If the user who published the original content replies to our comment saying they give us permission to use their photos or videos in our social media and online content, we thank them and take a screen shot of the conversation to save for our records. We then use the Later program to save the image or video to our content library.
If the conversation is taking place through direct messages on Instagram or Facebook we use the same process.
We encourage users to tag our accounts or use our brand hashtag on their content to help us find their content. If they use our hashtag or tag us in their content, then they have given us permission to use the image in our social media and online content. When we find content that the user has tagged us in or used our hashtag in, we take a screenshot of the content to keep for our records, then use the Later program to save the content to our content library.
