Kosciusko County 2022-2023 Experience Guide

Follow the Brick Roads

The town of Leesburg offers small town charm in abundance. Known as the Gateway to the Lakes, this town has an old world feel with its paved brick streets providing a nostalgic atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. Ten blocks of these brick streets are listed on the National Register of Historic Sites.

Historic cobblestone streets still welcome visitors all year long, but especially for the Memorial Day Parade, the Fourth of July Fireworks over Tippecanoe Lake (Indiana’s deepest natural lake), the Candelaria celebration at Christmas, and every day in between. Visit the Pound Store Museum, which opened for the first time in 1838 as an Indian trading post. The Pound Store is the county’s oldest commercial building.

Shop at Duck, Down and Above. This outlet store from local world known duck producer, Maple Leaf Farms, offers a variety of duck products such as high-quality down pillows, blankets and comforters, food items, and more.

Boasting one brewery and one winery, visitors will enjoy great food tasting and of course a variety of locally brewed beverages at HopLore Brewing located in an Old Mill along a rail line. Do a tasting, sip wine, or slurp a slushie at Tippy Creek Winery. Both have entertainment and events throughout the year. In the mood for prime rib? A tuna steak salad? Stacy’s is the restaurant for you.
