Things To Do in Winona Lake, Indiana
Billy Sunday Home Museum
During the early decades of the twentieth century, the energetic evangelist, Billy Sunday, was among the best-known personalities in America. In 1911, Sunday moved his headquarters to Winona, where he and his wife, Helen, raised four children. Helen “Ma” Sunday outlived Billy and all their children, and before she died in 1957, she expressed her desire that the home remain untouched as a testament to the Sundays’ ministry. As a result, the Sunday residence has remained a virtual time capsule for more than half a century.
Miller Sunset Pavilion
Staying true to the history of Winona Lake, the design of the new Miller Sunset Pavilion was inspired by the original Billy Sunday Tabernacle and sits on the same land where that original tabernacle was. The Miller Sunset Pavilion is not only an ice rink in the winter months, but a year-round venue hosting various different community events from concerts and jazz festivals to art fairs and weddings to a seasonal farmers market. For the ice-skating rink, skate rentals are available, so you do not need to bring your own unless you want to.
